If you're already familiar with my 7 Step Method, then keep on reading for seven super simple ways to begin implementing the 7 Step Method in just 7 days this Valentine weekend to spoil yourself and fill you up!!!

My apologies, it's a few days later than previously scheduled, the "ick" has hit my home!


    Valentine's Day is all about love, but it doesn't HAVE to mean romantic love. I wrote a blog back in 2022 about platonic girlfriend love & celebrating Galentine's day instead. You can read that one HERE. This month's 7 in 7 is going to be focused on the SELF-LOVE Valentine's celebration. Because of my "ick" delay, by the time you are reading this, it will be Valentine's Day (if it's not already over), and that makes NOW a perfect time to do something extra to fill YOUR cup, so you can maximize the benefits of love season this year! As a Valentine's gift, I'm sharing this month's installment of my reoccurring blog series, "7 Steps in 7 Days" to offer solutions for weaving my 7 Step Method into your weeks, with more ease this month. Inspired by the stereotypical romantic love this season celebrates, I've put together a week's worth of ways for you to practice some bonus self-love this month for yourself, in the middle of your everyday life. Whether you practice them all in one week, spread them all out from now until next month, or only practice one or two over the course of the month and then a couple more next month, these ideas may help you fill your cup first this February! I hope you enjoy!


Filling Your Cup First

one day at a time.

Seven steps in seven days.

It just makes sense to me.

       As I was creating, developing, and fine-tuning my 7-step method to fill my own cup first, it quickly became apparent to me that it was perfectly aligned to 7 days in a week. After launching the brand and beginning my first iteration of the Coffeetalk Newsletter, I created a monthly column sharing how you could challenge yourself through the week and accomplish something for each step in a single week using the 7 Step in 7 Day practice. It was so fun that I decided to turn this into a regular seasonal blog to share. This year I will experiment with a monthly seasonal approach to consistently producing it and will post them according to the following schedule:



Here is the Valentine's Day 7 Steps in 7 Days:


Sunday: Back to the Basics

Take a "Sunday Soak". This month's soak takes you back to the bathtub Darling! Last month you explored an alternative type of soaking, but this month I want you to soak your whole body again! This time step up the pamper factor! Hit the closest drug store, or grocery store, and pick up an inexpensive bouquet of roses (or an alternative flower) and then add some rose petals to your tub water &/or line the bathroom vanity with candles to ramp up your relaxing atmosphere!

Monday: Mindfulness Moment

For our "Monday Mindfulness Moment" this month I want to encourage you to practice it in silence. I tried to ease you into this practice of mindfulness by helping you find activities that sort of sneak up on you, providing Zen time with ease. This time, I want you to intentionally sit in the still, calm, quiet to get comfortable in it. First, light a candle, or incense, and turn on an essential oil diffuser to help you set a calming "Mindful Nook" atmosphere. Lower the lights, but do not turn them off or you'll likely dose off (at least if you're like me you will). Once you have the scene set nicely for your mindfulness moment, sit comfortably, on a mat or cushion on the floor or on furniture, and start practicing peace in the silence.

Tuesday: Do Something Little for You

Today is "Treat Yourself Tuesday"! It's the time of the week where I give you permission to spoil yourself, just a little bit, for taking time intentionally every day so far, to improve your care. In honor of Valentine's Day that just passed, treat yourself to something sweet! Don't overindulge or you'll regret it later but, treat yourself to a little chocolate or a pastry as a sweet reward on your Journey to Dazzling, Darling! Hit the store this weekend for discounted Valentine's treats before they're all gone, to make it a more affordable splurge (even though you deserve gourmet chocolate!). *Be sure to brush well after!"

So, not terribly scary or overwhelming to apply to your week so far, right?

The second half of the week is when things start to get real fun!


Wednesday: Get a Hobby

This "Wednesday Workshop" we're getting crafty in a new way. Have you ever heard of nail art? You only need 3 materials and 1 tool. Supplies are a wooden board, nails, and assorted colors of craft thread (not sewing thread). The tool is a basic hammer. First search for nail art image/design ideas online, maybe even find a free template. Once you know the image or design you want to create, you need to determine the threads required to match your desired colors or the theme of your chosen image or design and make a list of those colors needed. As soon as that's done, you can head out to the store and get craft thread in the coordinated colors. To do this, pop into a home improvement, hardware, or even a craft store. Pick up a piece of finished wood your preferred size (determined by your desired effort, time of project and, display space) and some medium length nails from the store. Then enjoy some chill time creating simple art!

Thursday: Get Your A$$ Moving

Love month is inspiring this month's "Thick Thighs Thursday"! I want you to show yourself a little love, by moving your body in whatever way your body loves! Physical activity can be fun, if you are focused on fitness activities you already know you love! Maybe it is taking a brisk walk, or a spontaneous dance party. Maybe when you were younger you used to love shooting hoops or going skating but now that you are grown with responsibility, you rarely make the time to do it anymore. I don't want it to be overwhelming, it's simply about finding a physical activity you already know you love. Remember to look for a solution that is a fun way to move your body AND also one that isn't intimidating but is joyful!

Friday: Dream Big

The weekend is here and that means that it's "Friday Funday"! Head into the weekend daydreaming about how you can up your game in your self-care as the spring thaw slowly sets in. As the weather warms, and spring gets closer, begin setting a plan and making mini benchmark goals to achieve your spring self-care goal and then start implementing your plan! Don't focus on the big dream or goal once you start working the plan, keep focused on the benchmark goals. Focus on the little ways you can son to start prioritizing your needs! Don't wait another season to begin prioritizing your care.

Saturday: Rest, Reflect, Reevaluate, & Restart

Celebrate "Self-Care Saturday" by reflecting, relaxing & recharging yourself Darling! I hope 2025 is off to an incredible start for you! I also hope that you have truly, finally begun to prioritize you more this year! How can you continually do this in even more specific ways throughout 2025? Spend this day, resting and reflecting, then intentionally evaluating your care practices and rituals so you can continue making positive strides towards DAZZLING in March!
