Creating a Personalized Self-Care routine is a necessary component to uncovering your dazzling, however in the winter months it can be even more important to help prevent and minimize the risks of Depression or Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). When building a personalized Self-Care Routine it is important to be realistic about your circumstances and abilities or you are setting yourself up for failure. The goal to be achieved from your Personalized Self-Care Routine is that you create a plan that is not only attainable, it is also important that it be something you desire to implement with some natural excitement... and ease... or it absolutely will not work. We give so much of ourselves and our time to other people and causes, it's important to take some of our time back and reallocate it to ourselves and to things that improve us as women without feeling guilty about it! So make the choice to value yourself and let these 7 steps help you get started in the right direction for 2021.
1.) Don't overlook your rest, nutrition, basic hygiene & personal care... this isthe most basic stepto self-care.
2.) Step up your personal care
game, in small, manageable ways that should make you feel dazzling on the daily. Focus, not only on personal pampering, but also, on improving your mental & physical health.
3.) Do something little, just for you, that sparks joy in your heart every single day, even if only for 10 mins.
4.) Find a hobby, either a new one or tap back into an old one that still easily ignites inspiration inside of you & sparks a creative fire in your soul.
6.) Allow yourself to daydream freely and do it daily, weekly, & monthly. Then have a goalsetting session so you can begin to lay out the smaller steps you need to take, to make your dreams your actual reality.
Don't stop working at building your own personalized self-care routine & continue reacquainting yourself with the ever evolving you, because
before you know it, you'll be realizing that you are truly Dazzling Darling!
Now, it is very important that you know and understand, that these steps are not to be read and implemented immediately, all at once, right off the rip. That would be insane an completely unmanageable, so don't even think about it, please. Instead these steps are to be approached more like karate belts, though admittedly none of my girls did karate so I only have a vague understanding of it. My understanding of karate is that you master a belt color and then you get to move up, that is how our steps to creating a personalized self-care routine are designed. You are to approach the 7 steps with the sole purpose of successfully achieving balance in the first step, then you can move on to implementing the second step, and so on, until you have successfully evaluated, implemented and attained balance within all seven steps while continuing to refine yourself in each previous step. This is not a race to attain perfection, it is a journey to self discovery and how best to care for yourself.
This journey should take as long as it needs to, and really should never technically stop, because you should reevaluate your implementation & execution of each step on a semi regular basis, since we are ever changing and ever growing beings, our needs are ever changing as well.
